What brought you to CrossFit in the first place?
Amy Dudley was doing it and asked me if I wanted to try it. I’m always up for a challenge so I said sure…the rest is history.
What was your first impression? How has that changed?
My first impression was “WOW! That is intense. I thought I was in shape!”
That has changed for me in so many ways! It is still intense obviously but I was hooked from the get go! It was a challenge, it was doable, there were obstacle standing in my way and I wanted to get past them. Now I know that if I can do this, I can do anything.
What was your first “goal”? Did you hit it?
 My first goal was pull-ups and YES I got them! Finally one day a combo of better upper body strength, excellent teachers and a dose of confidence I did my first kipping pull up! It was an AWESOME DAY! Next up… Muscle Ups!!
What are you working on now?
I’m working on getting better at hand stand push ups and I want a muscle up baaaaad! Also, endurance and speed! I’m a work in progress!
What’s your favorite Root 18 memory?

One of my favorite R18 memories is doing my first competition there, The Sherminator, I reveled in the family atmosphere, loved meeting athletes from other boxes and was thrilled with my results! Win, win, win!!!
